Transport vehicles
The Chevrolet Master Deluxe was an American vehicle produced between 1933 and 1942, use to convey passengers. This automobile sold well, even though it was one of the most expensive models in the Chevrolet range, costing 61 dollars more than the Master series HB. It was the high-end model of the Chevrolet brand, and was marketed as the most complete and completely new car ever made.
The Master Deluxe (and the Master) replaced the Eagle model. Chevrolet had spent some 26 million dollars on the 1937 models, so there was little change in the Chevrolet 1938 line. A radiator grille restyled by Frank Hershey, recruited from General Motors a few years earlier, and the widened hood louvres were the external signs of the change to the 1938 model. Large valve springs were mounted on the engine, the water pump was improved, a voltage regulator was added, and the clutch was strengthened and smoother.
Even though Chevrolet prices were increased slightly in 1938, in a context of sluggish sales for the whole sector, sales of this model nevertheless reached 302,728.
The car, in military livery, has been partially restored. The mechanics and the paint have been renewed. The interior retains a very pleasant contemporary patina.
